President | Exec Creative Director
Frank has been bringing film and television projects to life as an animator, director and executive producer for over 20 years. His trusted vision, broad expertise and strategic partnerships have provided the foundation for growth behind his creative-driven entertainment company, Guru Studio. Under Frank's leadership, Guru has developed an elite portfolio of internationally acclaimed animated television series, including its own preschool hit JUSTIN TIME, recipient of an Emmy® nomination, six Annie Award nominations, and a 2014 Canadian Screen Award. Frank received his art and animation training at both the University of Toronto, and the Sheridan College Computer Animation program where he currently chairs the Program Advisory Committee.
Mary Bredin is the EVP of Content at Guru and is involved in all aspects of running the studio. Focusing on the development of Original Content, she is always looking to acquire new properties for Guru’s growing development slate. Previously her jobs included 8 years at the Disney Channels in London, England, as Director of Programming + Acquisitions for the Worldwide Programming Strategy group and Director of Acquisitions for Viasat, the broadcast division of the Modern Times Group. She held a variety of production and business affairs/legal jobs with producers including Nelvana. Mary moved back to Toronto in 2007, after 15 years of living in Europe including four years in Paris, prior to living in London. Mary is presently on the Board of CASO and is a fully qualified lawyer called to the Bar of Ontario.

Bryan graduated from McMaster University with an Honours B.Sc. in chemistry. Soon thereafter, he enrolled in a Computer Animation program at the International Academy of Design, realizing chemistry was not his calling. Upon graduation, he was hired by TOPIX, where he honed his live-action integration and character animation skills for the next 3 and a half years. His last accomplishments there include animation director of six Pillsbury Doughboy spots for D'Arcy, NY, and Leo Burnett, Toronto. Bryan joined guru in April 2001. His real passion is problem-solving, scripting, and character animation, mixed in with a whole lot of snowboarding and hockey.

Yurie Rocha is multi-talented artist and a seven year veteran at Guru Studio. He has worked as a creative lead on numerous animated commercial campaigns such as "Kraft Macaroni and Cheese", "Naked Grape", and "Enablex". Yurie has taken his creative leadership experience from the commercial world and carried them to the TV series world where he was recently tapped to supervise the CG production of Cookie Jar`s "Mudpit".
Brandon James Scott
Creative Director | Design
Brandon James Scott has been with Guru for 10 years and currently oversees visual development and direction of all studio work. Brandon is the creator of Guru's first original property, Justin Time, the Emmy™ nominated animated series. He also directed the first two seasons of Mattel’s animated series, Ever After High, and is the writer and illustrator of several beloved children's books.
