Jr. Desktop Support Technician

Guru Studio's dedicated team is passionate about bringing inspired character-driven stories to screens around the world.  Our award winning, and internationally renowned Toronto animated entertainment company, is looking for a Jr. Desktop Support Technician to assist IT staff with technical support of user desktop computers, applications and related technology.  Support includes specifications, installation and testing of computer systems as well as peripherals within established guidelines.  This role reports directly to the Desktop Support Manager.


  • Assist with moving, imaging and configuring of desktop computers, peripherals and software
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of Tier 1 issue
  • Physical infrastructure housekeeping and upkeep
  • Track and suggest procurement of hardware and software upgrades
  • Resolve incidents with printers, copiers and scanners
  • Track assets and maintain hardware supply list and record hardware and software usage
  • Highly motivated team player with the skill and ability to manage changing priorities
  • Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.
  • Document and update all hardware and software inventory of deployed equipment.


  • 1 -2 years experience supporting Windows desktop/laptop PCs and Apple OSX
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Experience installing software, patches, updates on Desktops, Laptops and Servers
  • Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, printing related issues
