Guru Studio Expands Its Senior Leadership Team with Two Key Appointments

Toronto, 30th November 2017: Guru Studio, a global leader in children’s entertainment, is pleased to announce two senior hires for the company’s management team. Former Disney-executive, Kara Lord Piersimoni, joins Guru as Vice President of Production and Daniel Rattner takes on the new role of Senior Director of Marketing and Branding. Both will report to the company’s President and Executive Creative Director Frank Falcone and be based in Toronto.

Kara Lord Piersimoni brings more than two decades of experience in global content production. This includes stints at Walt Disney Feature Animation, Digital Domain and DisneyToon Studios.  Most recently Kara was an Executive Producer for Warner Animation Group for the LEGO movie franchise and joins Guru from her position as Senior Director of Production at Sparkhouse Studios. In her role Kara will have direct responsibility for managing all Guru’s production-related activities.

Daniel Rattner joins Guru with more than a decade of marketing and brand development experience. Most recently Daniel was Director of Marketing at Mazu, a leader in safe online experiences for young fans. Here he led strategy and launch campaigns for partners across the NHL, NFL, and NBA. Prior to this, Daniel was a Global Brand Manager at Spin Master overseeing a portfolio of brands across the boys’ action toy category. At Guru, Daniel will oversee the company’s corporate marketing and communications strategy and lead the promotional efforts for Guru’s animated and interactive IP.
