Hazed is a short film directed and produced by Matt Hammil as his Sheridan College thesis project. With the support of Guru, Matt was able to bring the film up to the visual production level he had envisioned. It was well received on the festival circuit where it picked up a number of awards. The film features a naïve, smoke-spewing factory who comes to the bleak realization that he must choose between his own survival and the survival of the planet. Hazed is as much a playful commentary on the serious impact of pollution as it is a reflection on the compulsive nature of humans.
